What Actually Adsense Is

AdSense is a contextual advertising program from Google that allows website publishers to generate revenue from their sites by placing ads on Google Adwords network on them. Every time these ads are clicked one of your visitors you earn a percentage of revenue that Google makes the task of individual advertisers.

Below is a summary of how the program works and the steps to implement it.

1. Link to Adsense and acceptance into the program to become an AdSense publisher.

You now have your own AdSense account, where you can create ad code to place on your site and monitor the results of their campaigns.

2. Create an Adsense Javascript code:

You can do this by logging into your account where you can choose particular ad format and ad color to place on your site. Selections generated code looks like this:

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "your publisher ID will be here";
/* 160x600, created 11/18/10 */
google_ad_slot = "your google ad slot";
google_ad_width = width chosen ad format;
google_ad_height = height chosen ad format;
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

3. You can then place the code in the template web page:

Make sure you select an ad format that fits the space available in the template. Once you have uploaded your page to the server AdSense ads are automatically generated.

4. Technological content delivered game Google ads that are relevant to the page content you've placed the code:

This may take from minutes to an hour, but Google will begin running ads that match content. This is the real advantage of Adsense - ads that match your page content to be relevant to what your visitors are reading and thinking at the time and most likely to be clicked.
